Beginning Jewelry - Level 1

Get ready to create your own wearable works of art, including pendants, bracelets, earrings, and/or rings! This class teaches fundamental fabrication techniques using wire and sheet metals; students will cut, drill, saw, file, stamp, solder, pierce metal, learn polishing techniques, and bezel set a stone. Note: Shell jewelry will not be specifically addressed. Students will be working in brass and copper; small amounts of sterling silver are available. Additional metal is available for purchase.

Instructor

Roberta Weisenburg has been working as a jeweler since 1981. Specializing in Custom Design, Casting, Fabrication, Fusing and Granulation, Roberta is a Certified Argentium Instructor. Recently she has relocated to Maui from San Francisco, where she maintained a studio since 1985 and taught privately. Her love for metal work has been ongoing and she is truly inspired to reach new heights on Maui and to share her knowledge with Hui students!
